The long-anticipated school hiking day came...
and Dustin couldn't go :(
Hiking with a sprained (possibly broken) foot isn't a great idea,
so we headed to Harrison Hot Springs for the morning.
It was cool and overcast, so we mostly had the whole town to ourselves :)

I think we have a case of 'egg dumping' in the nest box.
The regular pair of wood ducks comes each morning at the same time
and the female lays her daily egg in the box.
When they are gone for the day, other pairs arrive use the box too.
Hopefully one day, before the 'original' female starts to sit on the eggs,
Rich can take a peek in the box to see how many eggs are actually in there.
