Why is it that kids insist on wearing 'duck feet'?

PS the sun is shining, and it's even a bit warm!
We just came in from sitting on the deck for an hour (wrapped in a warm blanket).
Feels like spring is in the air!  Exactly what we all need so badly!

Exactly 1 year ago, these pretty flowers were blooming in my garden.
Unfortunately, I don't think we are there yet.  I will have to take a little
walk outside later to check on these!

Sick, sick, sick!
The past days have been spent taking temp readings, doling out Advil, listening to stories, and spending days curled up on the couch under a pile of blankets.  Today looks a bit more promising, so maybe the worst is past.

Everyday the group of bald eagles that sit in the trees around our place gets larger and larger.  This morning we counted 20 birds in a single tree.  They must be getting yummy dinner around here somewhere!
