We've discovered homemade smoothies over here.
The kids beg for them all the time, and I'm happy to oblige
because they are so healthy.  The berries in my freezer
are disappearing at an alarming rate!

Edited to add recipe...since you asked:)
2 cups berries (we've tried strawberry and blueberry - both were yummy)
1 cup vanilla yogurt
5 ice cubes
1 tbsp orange juice
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp brown sugar
1-2 tsp honey

I'm sure you can eliminate the sugar if your berries are very sweet.
Blend until smooth.  Slurp down immediately.
There will be no leftovers :)

  2. Love smoothies! I do 1 1/4 cup water, a good handful of spinach and blend well (you and your kids will not know it is in there!) add some frozen berries, about 1/4 cup greek yogurt and 1 package of sweetener. Blend and if you want it a little thicker throw in a few more berries. Yummy!
