June 8

Today was the much-anticipated annual Harrison Trip
for the school kids.  Yesterday they came home from school all happy
because the trip was going ahead.  According to the school decision-makers,
there was only a 60% chance of rain, so the trip was a go-ahead.
This morning the weather looked hopeful,
and by the time we got to the lake, the sun even made an appearance.
There were a few raindrops to keep us humble, but it was more or less dry...
until we went for our Hot Springs walk!!
The rain came pouring down...and we were drenched!

Josie working on a sandcastle.

"If you want to catch a fish, over there is your best chance!"

Rich helping out Dustin's group with their sandcastle.

Dustin hauling water for the castle moat.

Reuben and his friend Levi happily playing in the sand.

Sandcastle building tools are left scattered across the
length of the lagoon when the call to lunch came!

Trying to stay dry keep from getting more wet
while munching on Kerwin's birthday treat!

Totally drenched, but still smiling!
