On Saturday, we went to Lightning Lake at Manning Park.
We went, hoping to see the gophers, but there wasn't a single one around:(
But instead, we had to be content to play in the lake and go canoeing.
What a beautiful park...gotta go back there again:)
Mirian, the gophers going back into hibernation about 6 weeks before the first snow begins to fall. The only reason why I know this, is because I also went about 6 years ago, and I talked to a naturalist that was there.
